Turn the magnetic track light off and remove the magnetic track light’s head. Look for the "lock" and "unlock" switch near the top of the Magnetic track light. Switch it to "unlock."

Twist the magnetic track light about a quarter-turn counterclockwise and pull down. The head should easily come loose.

Put on protection gloves, since the magnetic track light is sometimes sensitive and can break easily.

A plastic ring will be visible around the magnetic track light. Remove to allow better access to the light. Press on the face of the magnetic track light and slowly twist it counterclockwise.

The magnetic track light should come loose. Place the light in a double plastic bag and dispose of in your garbage. By double-bagging, you will eliminate any chance of the magnetic track light breaking and release harmful chemicals.

Grip the wire in the back of the magnetic track light and push forward. The bulb should come easily out of the front of the magnetic track light. Keep pushing until you can grip the porcelain base.

Hold the base and the bulb. Wiggle the magnetic track light gently to pull out.

Plug the new bulb into the base. Push it back into the canister, and reset the clip to hold. Turn the power back on and test the magnetic track light.
